The Melitta
At the beginning of the 20th century, Melitta Bentz invented a method of brewing coffee using a paper filter. Over time, the company founded by her and her husband managed to perfect the method. Today, we know Melitta filters and their colorful plastic filter holders, which are one of the cheapest and easiest options for extracting a special coffee drink.
The Melitta portafilter has a conical shape with an elongated bottom and a single hole. In addition, on its walls, this portafilter has some veins that help the passage of air and coffee. It should not be confused with the Kalitta method, which is very similar, but instead of one hole, it has three.
This brewing method is very easy to clean and we recommend it for those who want to quickly prepare one or two cups. For example, it is very practical to use in the office with the help of the hot water dispenser. Below we show you how to make the best brewing with it.
